State Veterans Home Visit
Chapter members were honored to visit the Colonel Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home today as we shared Wreaths Across America “Operation Gratitude” letters and pictures written to our veterans by the children of Pleasant Hill Church and Springville Elementary School third graders. One hundred twenty-five letters/pictures of gratitude were shared with the residents of the assisted living and dementia areas of the facility.
Thomas Jones Jr. Patriot Grave Marking
The Alabama Society, Sons of the American Revolution, and the Josiah Brunson Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution collaborated to host the Patriot Grave Marking for Thomas Jones, Junior at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. We were honored to have Malinda Williams, Alabama State Regent along with eight of her state officers; Patrice Donnelly, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Vice President General; Sarah Cagle, Alabama Society Children of the American Revolution, president; ninety-six guests which included the Jones Family descendants; church family and our chapter members attend this patriotic event.
Fifty Year Anniversary of Chapter and 250 Year Anniversary of the Edenton Tea Party
Josiah Brunson daughters celebrated our chapter’s fifty year anniversary as well as the 250 year Edenton N.C Tea Party on October 13, 2024 at the Springville Heritage Center.
